D: I ran out of room when I was writing the deviation title.
So many people wanted to see “Beauty and the Beast,” so I thought it was high time. I went with the most famous version, adapted by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. I love, love LOVE the Disney version of “Beauty and the Beast,” with all its talking furniture, musical numbers, and plot twists. (Like the part with the enchantress and the rose at the beginning… Gaston and his snivelling henchman inciting a riot and storming the Beast’s castle… the Beast rescuing Belle from the wolves…etc.) But in defense of my decision to go with the original fairy tale, I thought it would be nearly impossible to translate all that beautiful song-and-dance into a little mini-comic. (And this way I don’t have to figure out how to make an anime character look like a tea-pot.) Hope you enjoy! I was so grateful for all the feedback I got! Masashi Kishimoto owns Naruto.
